I just installed a new wd drive, I partitioned it and formatted it, 80gb, I
am trying to install win xp pro, now I put the disk in and it boots to the
disk and goes thru all of the questions example, press enter to install win
xp, it goes all the way to select hard drive partition to install to, but it
says no partition found. the bios has detected the hardrive, and the
capacity, that's all right but in the window it doesn't show any partitions
it has an up arrow and says more I hit the up arrow and it lights up the
blue screen saying all sorts of possible problems,

question is the install disk bad or the mother board or what, I am at wits
in. I have never had this problem before

if any body knows please repost to the site.

thanks, mike

If it is a SATA drive, you must install the SATA drivers supplied before
Windows can install on the drive.
