My customer has XP home edition. Almost everytime she
gets to her desktop she see's a picture thats states in
the left corner: Unlock computer copyright 1995-2001
microsoft, corp. In the right corner it says Microsoft
Windows XP Home edition. In the middle of the box, there
is a picture of a pc with a lock and it says this computer
is in use and has been locked, only user--- or an
administrator can unlock this computer. It gives the
username and a box to enter a password. Which she did not
have. It then gives her two boxes to click either ok or
cancel. What do you think this could be?

Hehe, it's the standard Login-screen.

She has to know the password. If she doesn't, try to use
a blank one (no password, just click ok).

You can inactivate the lock-screen in the displaysettings
under screensaver.

Good Luck
