windows is display a message saying shortcut reffered to
is unavailable , please insert disk properly or make sure
network resource is available and try again. Is there a
way to do this myself without havin a tech. come and
charge me to push a few buttons??

If this happens at logon then you can delete the orphaned shortcut from;

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
%USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
