HELP!!!!! XP Pro User Accounts

Hi , need help....upgraded a computer from W98 to XP Pro . Everything was ok for the last month , but now every once in awhile when booting the computer up...a message come up saying that " Password for John Doe's computer" will expire in 13 days . To make a long story short there was a John Doe ( son ) when he use to use this computer . He no longer uses it so i upgraded it to xp pro & during the installation  i set up the new account ( Freds Computer ) and set the users so that anyone could use it & didn't have to bother with the log in all the time . Now what happens is the computers at times will set at the welcome screen and go no further until you hit ctl>alt>delete , then it proceeds to desktop .When  i looked in explore under documents & settings...there is a users folder there for my son .I thought i might be able to delete the folder but no luck .
Question is how can i get rid of his account or do i need to.....when the password expires will that remove the problem or create a bigger one ..

Hi,

Logon as administrator, remove the unwanted account with the users applet in
the Control Panel.

Or, start/run "control userpasswords2", remove it on the users tab.
