Help! XP PowerToy has taken over my PC

B

Bob Dutton

I installed this product from a Microsoft email, did not
like what it did to my screensavers, and have been trying
to fix my system ever since. My screen savers change of
their own free will! I have uninstalled PowerToy
according to the instructions, but it did not reset my
screensaver choices.
... What can I do ???
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

First, Microsoft will NEVER send you email's asking you to install
something. (Please paste the e-mail here with the address at which you
downloaded the file) Most likely this is not a microsoft product. None of
the Windows XP PowerToys have anything to do with screensavers. I would
suggest running a virus and spyware scan.

You've got to be kidding?! See, that's WHY worms and the like propagate! I
must say that i just don't understand why we continue to do silly things! I
just had to put in my 2cents after reading this dilly.
