Help !! XP Home administrator priviledge problem

Hi. I wanted to read a region 1 dvd and had 2 changes left on my dvd region
changing option dialog. One to change, one to change back I thought.
Unfortunately when I went to change back, possibly because it was the last
one, it said I needed administrator priviledges. Checking the user accounts I
already had that. Nevertheless I booted into safe mode and selected an
administrator account that wasn't there on normal boot up. But it still gave
me the same error and wouldn't let me change it. I'm now stuck with a region
1 dvd drive ! Please help !!

This isn't about administrative privileges, it's about having exceeded the
number of times you can reset the region code on your drive. You may need to
find a firmware patch for your particular DVD drive.

It may be wrong, misreporting the number of changes. Try attaching it to
an XP Pro system.

Install AnyDVD

http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

Then you will be able to play any DVD without resetting anything.
