Help- XP Hangs at boot

The screen shows the background picture, nothing else,
then it Hangs up. It will continue only after I alt-ctrl-
del and delete unwise.exe from processes three times.
What can I do to fix this and what is unwise.exe.

Please answer this is my 2 request.
 
Hi Jim,

Unwise.exe is an uninstaller for some program you have installed on the
system. Why it is running is difficult to tell. Have you recently
uninstalled something? The routine may not be complete. Empty \temp folders,
and you may want to check startup folders for any mention of that file.
Also, go to system information in the system tools and check under software
environment/startup for any mention of the file.
