Help with stress test needed any ideas?

I have a system with the following specs:

AMD64 3700+
512mb Kingston DDR 400
cdrom
80 gig ide hard-drive
MSI K8MM-V systemboard

This system has passed every HCT 12.1 test with flying colors. It
actually ran through the tests better than 3 intel systems. I get to
the last test, the SYSTEM STRESS TEST. I have run it 4 times with 4
failures. I have seen hardlocks, no video, solid white screen and one
time I found the computer at the desktop with a strange resolution
setting. No error logs are generated in the HCT 12.1 software and no
events in the event viewer. What do you think, bad choice in
systemboard, power problem etc?

Thanks

David,

Is it possible that your video chip is overheating? Try throwing a fan over
the heatsink. This has worked for me.

This actually ended up being a video driver issue- intel has released an
updated one- but thanks for the reply
