help with sony vaio monitor

I pulled out a 3 year old pc from my closet to see if I could get it to work
again, it's a really nice pc.

Model: Sony Vaio PCV W30. It's like a slim desktop pc, sleek,
keyboard/speakers are integrated.

Only problem, the backlight isn't working. You can put a flashlight at an
angle to the monitor and see the stuff, but no matter what you do, the
monitor will not turn on.

If you know of a way I can buy a new piece and install it that'd be great or
if you know a place that can repair it for under $200 that would be good also.

Everything works fine, it's just that the monitor does not turn on, or it
may be on, but nothing is visible.

that will not fix BACKLIGHT issues.

I guess not if you're unwilling to look through their support for possible
causes/resolutions.

I did look through it. There's always someone who doesn't read the entire
post. Thanks for the help, but it's way off.
