Hi,
I have a Pentium 3 - 801MHz IBM computer with 128MB of ram, running Windows XP
home and SP2. It is very slow doing anything. What would my best course of
action be first.
Thanks

Add more Ram if you can. 512MB would show a significant improvement.

Has it always run slow or is this a new problem? 128Mb of RAM is not really
enough for Windows XP to run smoothly. I advise at least 256Mb and
preferably 512Mb of RAM.

Phil's question is very relevant e.g. has it always been "slow" or just
recently? If just recently - do disk cleanup - do Start>run>%temp% delete
files - clean out temporary internet files - size of HD? - when HD usage
reaches 75 to 80% performance is affected.

Hi Phil,
Only since upgrading from Windows ME to XP Home, and adding SP2.
