Help with sending email

Hello,

We are working on creating a company newsletter for our clients that
want to receive it. We are wanting to send it via email and have it
displayed in the body of the email not as an attachment. From what I
understand you create a html version of the newsletter and have the email
reference it. Is this correct? How would I go about this? Does anyone have
an example? This is not going to be used from spam purposes. Clients who ask
for it will get it. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
