I don't know where else to post this, but being that I have XP SP2, I'll
post here. Recently, on our 2 home computers, Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5
has displayed an error when it attempts to automatically or manually check
for updates. I have sent an email to Roxio asking about the error, but past
experience says that I may not get a response. This began happening within
the last week or so. I haven't added any new programs, hardware, etc.
Being that it started on both computers, I suspect that maybe an MS update
may be causing it. The error is as follows:
Failed load XML data from file
Cannot have multiple Doctype declarations
I don't suspect that Roxio will be releasing any updates for this version,
so I have turned off auto check for updates and shouldn't encounter the
problem again. I'm just concerned that this might be more global and
symptomatic of something else. Does anyone have an idea what this is, do I
need to be concerned and is there anything I can/should do?
Thanks for your help.
