Help with Outlook Express

When ever I recieve an attachment e-mail,my Outlook and also Yahoo mail
is not opening them.It sends them to notepad and I cannot get the
pictures that are sent to me.
I have a Dell windows XP.
Any ideas?I have tried almost everything I can think of. :confused:
 
The last 3 letters in the attachement after the . tells your computer which
program to use to open that file.
you seem to have set Notepad up to open that file extension.
You need to go to Control Panel/folder options/file types ...to change it to
the correct one...if you have the proper program to open that file.
