help with online games

hi all I am having problems playing unreal tournament 1999 (game of the year
edition) on windows vista home premium, the game plays fine but seems to I
have problems connecting to the internet it finds all the servers but then
cant seem to ping them just stays at 0%, I have disabled the firewall and
added all the relevant ports but still no joy, I am using a router but i can
play on another machine with windows xp on through it so I guess its a vista
thing any help would be grately appreciated

Try right-clicking on the unreal icon and choose run as administrator, see
if that helps. If not, check on the Epic website, see if they have
troubleshooting suggestions for the game.
