Help with old(er) freeware app -Turbo Navigator

I'm new to this group - hope this is not OT. For 3+ years, I have been
using Turbo Navigator 1.46, a 2-pane file manager. Last week I ran
across a reference to 1.47 . I downloaded and installed it with
seriously bad results. When closing the app, the following error
message comes up :

==================================
Horrible Bug Encountered

Error message:
Thread Error: There are no more files (18)
Error Address:
00429D15
==================================

The app will not close without two ( 2 ! ) applications of the old
Vulcan Nerve Pinch (crtl-alt-del).

It does not seem to matter which folder/file in which panel has the
focus so I don't know what "There are no more files (18)" refers to.

Unfortunately, a disc crash on my backup HD last year took out my Zip
file of the 1,46 version, otherwise I would simply re-install 1.46 .

Any ideas ???

Thanks,
boo

You didn't mention your OS. . .

"There is a bug in v1.47 that prevents it from working correctly with
Win9x and WinME. Use the older version of Turbo Navigator if you are
running one of these OS."

Go here to DL either version:

http://www.woundedmoon.org/win32/turbonavigator.html

direct download Turbo Navigator v1.46 890,752 bytes

http://woundedmoon.org/win32/tn146setup.exe

Thanks, Susan. That's what happens when I try to do 11+ other things
while composing a Usenet message ! Yes, I am running Win98SE . I
downloaded and ran the setup file for 1.46 - all's well so far !

Again, thanks,
boo

Very good :)

I thought that known bug in v 1.47 that effects 9x/NE OS was the
*likeliest* cause of your problems.

Ah. That's why 1.47 fails under 9.x, I've learned something today too :)

Glad to hear that. :) The quote above is from the author's (defunct) web
site. Unfortunately AFAIK the info is not in the program documentation
and sites that offer the program don't always mention it.

and people keeping having problems. . . :(
