Help with my small fonts and screen

V

VINELLA STARKS

I was adjusting different areas in the control panel for a class assignment.

Now, all icons and the text under them is too small.

There is also a black area surrounding the entire screen
before the screen filled up the entire monitor size.

Please help

Did you change the screen resolution ?, you'll find this under display
normally in the control panel, or the appearance and themes icon in XP
control panel, or just tying resolution in help will probably get you there.

If you have too set too high it will do this, I run mine at 1024 x 768.

If you right-click in a blank area on the desktop, then properties, then
settings you will be in a menu that controls screen resolution and color
depth. Try a few different resolutions and hopefully one will be what you
had previously.

Also, from the same screen, advanced button, you can control things like the
size of icons.

Going back one screen to appearance, you can control font size.

CAUTION: Some combination will produce very large icons, and some important
screens will be partially off the desktop, so that you will be unable to
make further changes. If that happens, boot into SAFE mode and reset
things. Fortunately, many resolution changes offer to show you the change,
and then, unless you click OK within 10 to 30 seconds, the change does not
become permanent.
