Help with Modprof!

Hi,

I 400 computers that have been imaged with Office 2000 in the image .
Outlook has never been started or configured on the image. Although Office
was installed with an administrative install the CIW was not used. I want to
use Modprof to automatically configure the user profile for Outlook the first
time the user uses Outlook. Here's my problem:

Modprof fails with an error and says " Either there is no default mail
client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.
Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail
client.*Microsoft Office Outlook"

If I run thru the configuration once it works from that point on. ???????
Any help would be appreciated

If Outlook has never been started, you need to be using Newprof, not
Modprof.

Sue,

I was under the impression for the documentation that modprof contained the
functionality of Newprof and the addition of profile modification
capabilities. Did I get that wrong?

Thanks for the help!

My recollection is that they're different, but I've been spoiled by the
better profile management capabilities of later versions.
