Help with ,Hit Counter and submitting Tables

BlankI am using FrontPage 2000, and I have two (2) qustions. My WebSite provider supplies FrontPage Extensions. Unfortunately, my website provider's technical help is not so great.
Help from anybody will be greatly appeiciated. Here are my questions:

1. FrontPage generated code for hit Counter as shown

#1 However you uploading your site the remote server, via FP's http mode or via FTP?

#2 you are not using the FP Form handler to process the form, therefore it is not a FP related
issue, you will have to contact whoever provided you with the formhandler.cgi script.

For the hit counter, either open the live site in FrontPage and reset
it there, or in your local web open the _private folder, right-click
the hit-counter file, choose properties, Workgroup tag, uncheck the
box "Exclude this file when Publishing the rest of the Web"
Publish your web
Then reset the counter file to not publish, or the counter will reset
every time you publish the web. (Editing the live site is easier.)

BlankThe hit counter bot is pointing to your hard drive, which means you only had the page open and
not your web and then the pege when you installed it.

Open your web, open the page, remove the hit counter, save the page, reinstall the hit counter, save
the page and then publish.

Thank you for answering me.
1. I am uploading my site through FrontPage 'Publish web..' I think it's
doing a good job.
2 .I will be honest with you I do not know what 'Form handler' is and what
it does, and I thought I was within the FP guidelines!
I would to like to use ' the FP Form handler' if I knew how to. Do you
think the code that I have cannot be salvaged or fixed?
If it's a total loss then, would you please suggest some 'web site Link'
so that I can download a code to make it work?

A Form Handler is code that process the data submitted by a HTML form on a web site.

Currently your form is set to use CGI-Perl Script as a form handler, and I would suggest that you
contact your web host, if they are the ones that provided and configured it.

BlankI am using FrontPage 2000, and I have two (2) qustions. My WebSite provider supplies
FrontPage Extensions. Unfortunately, my website provider's technical help is not so great.
Help from anybody will be greatly appeiciated. Here are my questions:

1. FrontPage generated code for hit Counter as shown

You are saying 'For the hit counter, either open the live site in FrontPage
and reset it there'.
I do not know what you mean by 'open the live site in FrontPage '? I do not
get
anything like a checkbox "Exclude this file when Publishing the rest of the
Web", from the '_private folder'
in Normal or View mode! I know I am doing something wrong! Would you please
explain this a little more? I am lost.

To open the live site in FrontPage, use
File->open Web
In the dialogue type in the URL to your web site (same as the address
you publish to).
This opens the live web, then you can open the _private folder, and
find the file
pagename.htm.cnt
where pagename.htm is the name of the page the hit counter is on.
Open this file and change the numbers to what you want (keep the total
number of digits the same.) Save and close the file.

In your local web (on your hard disc) if you right-click on a file,
either in the folder tree or in folders view, and choose Properties
you get a tabbed dialogue.
Choose the Workgroup tag. This has that checkbox, near the bottom of
the dialogue window. If you check it the file will not be published.
The file in the _private folder associated with the hit counter should
already have this check box ticked.
