Help with fresh install of Windows XP pro

I am trying to install Windows XP pro to a formatted 8 GIG hard drive. When I insert the XP setup cd and boot up the pc I get a message saying "Missing Operating System" DUH! Obviously it is not booting to the cd, so I went on microsoft.com and downloaded the Boot disks to get the pc to run my cd. Now I am getting this error "File \biosinfo.inf could not be loaded. The error code is 512" How do I get the cd to run the setup program?

Paul;
Have you set your BIOS to boot to CD-ROM before hard drive?
That is a typical error if you don't.

The biosinfo error can happen with a bad CD or attempting to use an
OEM CD with the wrong computer.
Another cause can be the wrong set of disks.
There are many and you need the correct set.

With pro,youll need to set in the BIOS to boot to xp cd,boot priority or
similiar,once you boot to cd the rest is self explain. 8GB hd,kinda small for
xp but can get by with it.
