Help with error please

I run a tape backup, and I have been getting the Blue
Screen of death at certain parts. The backup is not
completing. It's a STOP 0x000000d1 error, with a problem
in the mrxsmb.sys and rdbss.sys files. Microsoft says the
hotfix for 816036 is the answer, but that's only good for
Service Pack 3. I'm on Service Pack 4. Any ideas? Thanks.
