I've set up an windows 2000 AD Domain/forest using VMWare workstation. There is one DC (\\server1) and 2 memeber servers, all windows 2000 sp4. Otherwise working fine (I'm running exchange 2000 in domain), I'm seeing following error when I run nslookup command on \\server1 which my AD DC and also AD integrated DNS

nslookup server
-

*** Default servers are not availabl

Server: UnKnow
Address: 192.168.11.10

Name: server1.VMWARETEST.CO
Address: 192.168.11.10

Here is the output from IPconfig /al

Please note: This is NOT an error, but just a message saying that you do not
have a reverse zone or you do but don;t have a PTR entry for you DNS
server's IP. That;'s it. Create a reverse zone for 19.168.11.0 and make sure
there's PTR for your DNS IP: 192.168.11.101. That;s it.

Your ipconfig looks fine.
