DNS problem?

Hi, all. I think I have a problem with the DNS. When I'm
doing a nslookup, I can't reach ANY domain from Internet.
However, I can browse through Internet.
Here is the nslookup and the ipconfig commands results:

C:\>nslookup
Default Server: server.domain.com
Address: 10.10.10.10
Server: server.domain.com
Address: 10.10.10.10

Name: machine.domain.com
Address: 10.10.10.11
Server: server.domain.com
Address: 10.10.10.10

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.

I forgot one thing: I'm using ISA but allow transimision
on port 53 (TCP & UDP)
Hope it helps,

Trying to troubleshoot DNS, I restarted it and I am
getting the "The RPC server is unavailable".
Has this something to do with not resolving?
Thanks,

JK

Try it with the -vc option to force TCP instead of UDP. Let me know if that
helped. If it does, then it means it's not allowing UDP thru ISA. If it
doesnn't then you'll need the ISA firewall client installed.

RPC server not available usually means it either can't resolve the name in
DNS or the machine is not reachable.

One thing that I did miss in your ipconfig /all is that I noticed both
interfaces has a gateway. Can't do that. Pick one, and that would be the NIC
on the subnet that leads to the outside world and specify the gateway only
on that one. Then test it again.
