Help with burning CD's

when i try to burn cd's using XP's built in burning
software, it says that it is an incorrect function. i can
burn cd's, but it would be nice to not to have to use a
third party software. any help would be appreciated

Avoid the headaches and DO use third-party software. I recommend Nero.
