I was told that Windows XP came with a program to do backups but I cannot
find it. Can someone direct my search .... or if I was misinformed can
someone recommend a backup program for my data.

Thanks
John

NTBackup is not installed with XP Home, but it's on the XP CD. Unless you
have an OEM CD. In that case read on.

Hi,

I would like to add, the really useful tool for back-up is Disk Image.
It can backup to image the whole HDD or partitions, also allowing
browsing files in the image. The tool is mighty indeed, it is located
on a data tools set CD, Active@ Boot Disk, that also contains other
great tools for data recovery and destruction. Give it a try, it is
really useful soft.
