help with a Dell machine

we have been given another machine, a Dell.
Boy having a hay of a time working with it, like we have with the
Intels,etc.

Any help on how to repair install and figure out this number issue
would be deeply appreciated

do for you.

http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums. Do a search there and you're
likely to find any problem has been seen before, and probably solved.
