Help with 2000 Pro Install on Notebook?!? NTLDR Error on boot

Installation of OS 2000 pro on my IBM thinkpad 600e works fine until it
cannot install data.cab? Window finishes installing and goes through serial
set up but then will not boot after install I get the error NTLDR IS MISSING
PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART. How can I make this correctly install? What is the
problem? Thanks
 
If this was an upgrade installation and the drive is FAT32 formatted , see if
this fix applies:

"NTLDR Is Missing" Error Message When You Upgrade or Install Windows 2000 Over
Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition
