Help, Windows Installer Missing...

My windows installer seems to missing or not found...I cannot install any
programs at all. It is not my drive, because when I download programs once
it trieds to intall it stops.....How do I restore this??? It won't read the
disk to install from the Windows XP disk.....

What wont read from the xp disk...Either way the xp disk isnt the place to
look for installer,try search at microsoft,type:893803 For installer
v3.1,however
i dought its youre problem.

Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /unregister >ok

Then Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /regserver >ok
