HELP: why does my browser close automatically??

Whenever I try to open certain web pages, my browser (whether it's IE,
Firefox, Opera) simply closes automatically without warning.

I've disabled my firewalls (Norton and XP SP2) and STILL I get the same
problem!

What is going on here, and how can I fix this problem? Please help -

Which web pages ? - have you checked the Application Event log
for any corresponding errors. If it happens with all three browsers,
that would point the finger at Norton as the cause.

Have you checked to see if the sites are listed as restricted sites under
Control Panel => Internet Options => Security => Restricted Sites?

I know that Spybot S&D posts many sites there.
