Plato,

I have a TV card on the machine that is no longer in use. I disabled
it and uninstalled all the sw....could it have been left over from
that? Everything else works fine on the macine except a once in a BSD.

Sure, uninstalls rarely get everything out of the registry. They tend to
be somewhat conservative ie they cut through the fat not the meat. It's
actually a good thing that
the old drivers related to that card are not loading. The txt file is
simply keeping a
record of that. Have you tried a registry cleaner as this is the type of
stuff they seem to be good at "fixing".

Regarding the once in while BSOD, that's simply MS's reminder that
you're running an official version of windows and not some trash like
Novell or Linux [g]
