Hi,

When I start windows, after getting the user area, click
on my name, when I do so, I get a sound (for error) and it
comes up with the following message (after taking a while
to load): "Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32
\vxd32v.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and
then try again. To search for a file, click the Start
button, and then click search."

Why is it doing this? It's driving me nuts!

regards
Terry

It's a component of the Dumaru.V Worm. Get yourself a good updated antivirus
and run it!

But if it is saying it can't find it, then that means its
gone, so how can I stop it from searching from it?

If you're sure it's been the whole Worm has been removed, go to
Start>Run>msconfig>Startup Tab and uncheck the item that calls for it. Or
remove it completely with jv16 Powertools, shareware, from www.jv16.org which
also keeps a backup in case of mistakes.
