HELP! Weird "L"s have appeared in the corners of the pages..

I have a problem. all of a sudden some weird things that looks like "L"s have
appeared in the corners, like arrows, they point toward the text. they are in
the margins.

That happens when you install support for East Asian
languages.

If you don't want/need that support:

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages

Uncheck these boxes:

[] Install files for complex script...
[] Install files for East Asian languages
