Hi,

Can anyone help me with the above error message, I cannot send emails via
outlook 2000, I have deleted and reinstated the accout several times but this
does not work, I have spent hours on the phone with AOL who now say it is not
their problem it is a Microsoft problem! I have checked all the settings and
they seam to be ok, I even set up another AOL email address in outlook and
that works fime with all the same settings!

A 554 error is a server-side error. Enable diagnostic logging and look at
what's happening between Outlook and your server:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/240347/en-us . 0x8ccc6f is not the error
number. There should be eight characters after the "x', not six.

The error is probably 0x800ccc6f and it indicates you haven't configured
your account properly. See this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223980/en-us

I have already looked at that post, according to AOL it is configured
properly, the SSL box is not checked, if it is I get a different error
message.

It had been working fine for the last 3 years until 24 hours ago.
