Help w/ Renaming User Profiles in W2K SP4

My original profile was corrupted, so I just let the system create a new one
for me and re-set everything up. Now, the name of my profile is
"name.domain.001". Is there any way to rename it to just "name"?

If you change it, you will have problems.

But you can copy the contents of a profile to another profile using
Right-click My Computer>User Profiles see Copy To

But why change it? Access to it is transparent to the user (you).
