help unlock scanner

I have an HP scanner and I lost the key to unlock it. Anyone have any clue about how I can get in there now to unlock it so I Can use it again???

If you mean the lock that one uses to move the scanner safely then it will
be a slide lever on the back at least with my HP it is.

Thanks for the reply. But my hp scanner had an actual key that looked similar to a really small tire iron that you had to insert into a hole in the bottom of the scanner and turn. During the move last year it got lost. Was hoping maybe someone had figured out something else that could be used to unlock it.

Was it an Allen Wrench (also known as a Hex-key wrench)? You can get a set of these
at any hardware store. Maybe HP can send you one.
