help uninstalling software please

Partially installed American Greetings Create-a-Card on XP. Failed to read
2nd CD successfully, so I quit, ready to try later.

Now it won't let me continue, says we must unistall it first using
Add/Remove Programs.

Run uninstall from Add/Remove programs, the Install assistant windows opens
but nothing ever happens. It just quits, no message, no error, no success.

Used Explore to see if AG folder was under Program Files and it isn't.

Did a manual search of install CDs for a program named uninstall, no
results.

Is it partially in the registry, maybe? If so how can I safely remove it?
Other suggestions?

The manufacturer Broderbund has discontinued all tech support of the product
according to their website.

Usually if you reinstall the installation cd,you'll find a uninstaller.If
not,yes
its in regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software + HKEY_LOCAL_USER/software
R.click on it,delete,close regedit.Its also in temp,go to run,type:%Temp%
go to edit,select all,delete all,close out,empty recycle bin..Also,go to
search
in my computer,search for anything related name wise to it,delete all,also
search useing "show hidden files" options...
