Help: Target Designer Crashes

I've downloaded Windows Xp Embedded frot the microsoft site and installed it.
Tdsigner very frequently run in crashes especially when checking dependencies.
Does someone know if there is particular compatibility issues for this
software?
I'm developing in a windows Xp pro SP2 enviroment.

I had a lot of crashes when I came back from holiday and found that most
of my RAM had walked. What spec is your dev box?

My dev has 1.5 GB of ram and Win Media Center Edition.... perhaps something
related to this OS?
It's impossible to work at all!!

It's possible - I've not tried it. I'm on 2k3 here.

You might have some corrupt memory. If you can, my suggestion would be to
try a different PC.
