Hi,
Just got myself a new Acer Aspire 5680 laptop that was pre-installed
with XP but Vista ready. Upgraded to Vista Ultimate (32-bit) & all
seemed fine. However I've noticed that the Sleep function doesn't
work properly when I wake it up. It takes a long time to boot up &
then goes to the 'Windows had a problem starting. Do you want to boot
up normally or in Safe mode' (or something like that) menu.
After a lot of trial & error I've narrowed it down to the Plug And
Play service. If I stop this service from running it works, if it is
running it Sleep fails. I don't want to permanently stop this service
running & have run out of ideas. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help,
Andee
