Help - Sleep not working

Hi,

Just got myself a new Acer Aspire 5680 laptop that was pre-installed
with XP but Vista ready. Upgraded to Vista Ultimate (32-bit) & all
seemed fine. However I've noticed that the Sleep function doesn't
work properly when I wake it up. It takes a long time to boot up &
then goes to the 'Windows had a problem starting. Do you want to boot
up normally or in Safe mode' (or something like that) menu.

After a lot of trial & error I've narrowed it down to the Plug And
Play service. If I stop this service from running it works, if it is
running it Sleep fails. I don't want to permanently stop this service
running & have run out of ideas. Any thoughts?

Thanks for any help,

Andee

Thanks for the response Anando. I've tried downloading the latest
Nvidea Vista drivers (beta) but still no joy. The interesting part is
that a mate of mine has got exactly the same laptop (he bought it the
day before I did) & it works fine on his. I originally used his
downloaded copy of the video driver when I upgraded to Vista - he
upgraded to Vista Ultimate too.

Thanks again anyway,

Andee
