MIN( FLOOR(E12/12-E14-E16-E15-E17,5), FLOOR(E14*0.5,5))

E12, the value is 300000
E14, the value is 10000
E16, the value is 800
E15, the value is 780
E17, the value is 1250

Can any one help me in understanding for the same.

Thanks in Advance

Hopefully you understand the FLOOR Function and MIN Function by now. Read my
Posts under "Help Required 1" and "Help Required 2" that I answered for you.

This is what you have:
MIN( FLOOR(E12/12-E14-E16-E15-E17,5), FLOOR(E14*0.5,5))

Lets break this apart again:

FLOOR(E12/12-E14-E16-E15-E17,5)
= FLOOR(300000/12-10000-800-780-1250,5)
= FLOOR(12170,5)
= 12170

FLOOR(E14*0.5,5)
= FLOOR(10000*0.5,5)
= FLOOR(5000,5)
= 5000

The MIN Function returns the smallest of the two numbers
MIN(12170,5000) = 5000

Hope this helps! If you please click "Yes" below.

These are explained in detail in the Excel help files, with examples of each
function.
