Help - QDI KinetiZ 7E (Motherboard) and Athlon XP2000+ (CPU)

Has anyone tried the above combination of Motherboard and
Processor, and what are the results? I ask because I wish to
upgrade my current slow Duron processor and QDI are putting
out conflicting signals about compatibility of the new
Athlon XP+ processors recently released. QDI on their UK
website state that the maximum acceptable on a K7E m/b is
Athlon XP 1900+, which is just not available in UK. Then on
their Netherlands website they also say that with a BIOS
upgrade, the K7E m/b can recognize Athlon Processors beyond
XP2000+. My local computer shop have advised caution and
suggest I should get confirmation from QDI that Athlon
XP2000+ will work, and even then they say that they can
install for me only at my risk. I have not been able to get
any response from QDI yet. Hence this posting - a cry for
Help.

Just go and buy a more recently introduced motherboard

All the specification will be improved upon

You have Firewire, USB2, Higher FSB and even possibly SATA disk capability

Try MSI or Gigabyte for a good AMD compatible board
Compaq use the MSI boards.

The thought had occurred to me, but right now I wish to
check which version of QDI's two websites is correct. Hence
my posting to hear from folks who have actually tried this
upgrading.
