help plse - no icons, start menu or task bar showing..

the only way I can start any new process is by ctrl/alt/del to get to task
mgr and then using the File, new task option... This was all working fine
(all 3 user profiles) when I set the system up 6 months ago ... but sometime
ago it stopped!! can anyone help?
 
Are you sure that the STart Menu has not been moved to some other part of
the desktop? Did you check all sides?

What happens when you Ctrl+ESC?

If all this fails, then something has changed the userinit/winlogin handler
when the system boots.

Do you get a Welcome Screen with the User Names? Does this occur for all 3
users? Or just yours?
