Hi, I'm using WindowsXP Home Edition, Traditional Chinese
version.
Starting yesterday, my computer failed to start windows,
it got stuck at the DOS-like screen where it asks if you
want to start with Windows, Safe Mode, or revert to
previous setting. I tried all, but it doesn't go any
further than that.
An error message some times shows up after I selected one
of the choices, saying I've a "Missing or corrupted
windows root\system32\ntoskrn1.exe"
or
"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\windows\system32
\ntoskrn1.exe"
Is there anyway to fix this?
I cannot find the Windows disk that comes with the HP
Pavilion, but the computer has a sticker with the Windows
registration key on it. Would borrowing my friend's
WindowsXP Home edition (English) CD and do a repair work?
