Help please

Ok....
So today i decided to hook up an external monitor to my Dell laptop,
everything was going good, but when I unhooked it, everything on my laptop
desktop seemed to be "strechted out" you could say. Like the icons, the
taskbar, all seem to be elongated. This isnt really a big problem....just
annoying...any help?

Reset the resolution on the notebook monitor. Right click on the Desktop,
select Personalize.... then on Display Settings. Since you don't tell us
which notebook or what sized screen it has, we can't tell you what the
default should be.
