I am using XP SP2 and IE 7

I am not sure what has happened but I cannot seem to open any video link or
acrobat reader .pdf file from the internet through my browser. I always get
the message

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file"

I have recently installed some Windows Updates from MS and suspect these
have changed some settings somewhere. Everything worked fine until last
week.

Please someone help!

Have tried reinstalling Acrobat Reader from scratch but still cannot open
any online .pdf files.

Cheers

Graham

Make sure the firewall exceptions,is configured properly. Also, open internet
options, advanced tab, click the button, "set optimal defaults" or similiar.

Open Adobe, go to Prefferences, at the "internet" section, UNcheck the
boxes for ,"show in browser", and the rest of them there like fast
loading etc.

Doesn't make sense to me unchecking 'Allow in browser' but I did it and it
worked, nice one!

Thanks guys!
