How do I set the 'starting' sound volume level on XP Pro, so that it
does not automatically re-set itself to start with a very loud volume level,
at the booting time ?

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Start/run, type sndvol32

The main tab, and the WAV settings might be out. You also could have some
app raising the wav setting.
