Help please - Unable to use reading pane

When I started up Outlook this morning, I discovered that the reading pane no
longer works. When I click on View, the Reading Pane is greyed out. I have
just spent the past 90 minutes looking for a solution and have come up empty.
Can you help please? Thanks!

If you're using Outlook 2003, try using the /resetnavpane switch:

Thanks, but the Reading Pane option is still greyed out under View.

Other suggestions? Appreciate your help.

I ended up rebooting Outlook in safe mode and the "problem" fixed itself it
seems.
