reinstalling works, and then starting the program again. Now this is all good
but my puter came with this and now it is gone and i dont know what to do. I

Paula,
there may be several ways to recover your documents, one of them you may
find here at Microsoft >>

I believe this 'Word Viewer' may help

MS Works uses a proprietary document format, so unless you saved the
documents as RTF or plain TXT you will have to reinstall the Works program.
If you cannot reinstall your MS Works program for whatever reason, you MIGHT
be able to get it working again by installing an update, if there is one for
your version. These are not upgrades, so if your Works version number
doesn't match, don't use the update. There are updates for Works versions 8,
7 and 4 here:

http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/downloads.mspx

Some Works documents can be coverted to MS Word format. The converter can
be downloaded from Microsoft at the page above or here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...83-f51b-4977-b572-8c042df802c1&displaylang=en

After conversion they can be opened in MS Word, or in OpenOffice v2.2.1(a
freeware wordprocessor you can download)

http://download.openoffice.org/index.html

or view them in the MS Word Viewer (read/print)

document (works cannot access one or more files it needs to run the word
processor. The files may have been renamed, deleted, or moved. Try
reinstalling Works, and then starting the program again) the database and
spreadsheet part of Works 7 work ok but not the word processor. I am using
Works 7 and Windows XP pro and have uninstalled and reinstalled many times
now I have uninstalled using the uninstall program on the CD and the clean up
program on the CD I have uninstalled using windows add and remove programs I
have tried reinstalling from the CD nothing seams to work any help would be
appreciated
