I got this problem too except i'm using an x800 GTO agp card.

Oh it was the same as mzmiric5 first poet except a different gfx card causing
the problem. Well using the device manager to disable the AGP device while
half way though installing worked to get past the crash. Enabling it again
after installing it results in vista crashing during start up but getting the
latest vista drivers from ATI fixs that.
