hello,

I cant delete the windows folder from the "files are ready to be written to
the cd" area on the E: drive. it states its being in use by other
programs/persons. I've tried everything and cant remove it due to several
files in the windows folder. I have windows XP home and everytime i log on a
ballon pops up in the tray stating"files are ready to be written to the cd".
Is it possible to erase it through the registry and if so, how?

thanks alot...this problem is bugging me!

Have you tried booting in Safe Mode?

See if disabling the Windows cd writing ability helps. Do this by going
to My Computer and right-clicking on the cd-rw drive. Then left-click
on Properties and then on the Recording tab. Uncheck the box to enable
recording. Hopefully you'll get the prompt asking if you want to forget
about the files waiting to be written and will be able to say "yes". If
this works, you can then go back and enable recording again.
