I took my old work computer home to give to my daughter. I wanted to stop
the password promt and made some chages to "passwords" in the control panel.
I changed it to be a home computer and the user to admin, left the passwords
blank.

Now when I log in I stuck at the password promt and cannot by pass. Tried
everything I could thingk of and nothing. Please help!!

a) what changes did you make to "passwords"?
b) how did you change it to be a home computer - did you, for example,
install XP Home on it? Did you convert it from a domain member to a
workgroup member?
c) what are the things that you could think of trying?
d) who managed the passwords for the local administrator accounts at work?
