The answer to your question is not ethereal nor is it found in this web forum
without the brand name / model number etc of your motherboard.

The answer is found in the user guide for your motherboard, if a whitebox
PC, or in the user guide for you branded PC.

To set a BIOS level password via the motherboard will in most cases prevent
unauthorised access, not only to BIOS, but to the PC itself!

hi, how do you set a password in bios setup so no one can change the
settings except for me? Just in case if im not home and somebody goes into
the bios setup and mest things up.

thanx

You should have AMI BIOS...look for set supervisor password on right side of
BIOS screen

So did you look up your user guide and see how to do this or are you waiting
for someone else to do it for you?

If you have lost your user guide download one off the Asus web site.

It all there to be found.
